VISITING THAILAND IN THREE WEEKS

Latest Travel Blog News: Visiting Thailand in 3 weeks

Welcome to Marta Demartini’s Travel Blog!

I would like to share with you the story of our recent journey in Thailand and delight you with our little adventures that we encountered throughout the holiday alongside with some tips on what to bring, where to stay, do’s and don’ts, and some prices that you might find useful in order to budget your holiday.

Let us describe ourselves first:

WHO ARE WE?

We are adventurous and curious couple, both photographers, landscape, people and culture lovers, we are travelling on a medium budget and we tend to stay away from the big party crowds, unless there’s a big festival going on!

What can you do in Thailand in 3 weeks during the month of April?

{March, April and May, are the hottest months in Thailand, but that to us is not a good enough reason for not to go! And as I am writing these pages now you will gather that we managed to survive!}

After a bit of research here was our choice for the holiday:

-A taste of the Andaman Coast and its beautiful Islands, from exploring the rocky Raileh coastline in the Krabi Province, stopping at the stunning world famous Phi Phi Islands Maya Beach where movie star Leonardo di Caprio’s film “The Beach” was filmed and finally lay down on gorgeous’ white sandy beaches princess of the south Andaman Coast Ko Lipe.    Time allowed 1 week

-A hint of the North, rich in culture and nature, including Chiang Mai and its Temples, a visit to Pai, the hippie village retreat where backpackers meet for a while and share their adventures about their SouthAsia travels, getting to know about the Hill Tribes living in the northern area of Thailand, and a possible day or so spent in an elephant sanctuary, where you learn to look after these fascinating creatures. Time allowed: 1 week

-A must visit to the capital Bangkok to understand how modern Thai westernized lifestyle copes with their traditions and buddhist dogmas. As we enjoy big events we also included the Songkran Festival, alias the Thai New Year celebration that starts with a traditional sprinkle of water to the Buddhas and ends up in a big water war on the streets! Time allowed: 1 week

OUR HOLIDAY OVERALL BUDGET: £ 1500 per person, which must includes international and domestic flights, internal transports, food and accommodation.

Don’t miss out our story and find out if we managed to do it all!!!
